TCC 1st Annual Golf Tournament
What do you do with a sunny 70º Fall Saturday when you really don't have anything else on the agenda? Maybe a ride in the Corvette? Maybe a picnic with some of your best friends? How about a day at the links? How about ALL THREE! Well, that's what we did. With the outstanding weather we have been having, and a deep desire to make the best of it, a couple of us TCC members got together and planned a last minute golf outing.
Mickie suggested Maple Leaf Golf Course and immediately Martha Harding and Deborah Bumgardner started working on the details. Deborah called Maple Leaf, scheduled tee times and secured the shelter. Martha sent out the email and started organizing participants and food for the picnic. Lest I forget, we give a special thanks to the ladies for always organizing and setting up a great meal for all of our outtings. Thank you Martha, Deborah, Karen, Virginia, Lindy and Carlene for a great picnic.
We had 10 players for our tournament. We divided into 3 teams. Captain Tim Wennuman played with Roland Kennedy and Jeff Broughton. Captain David Mason played with Tim and Lindy Hight and Tim's son, Brad. Captain Mickie Elmore got stuck with Todd Tourville and Gary Bumgardner. Good thing it was captain's choice, huh Mickie!

It's one thing to let the course beat you up... but when a girl beats you too......

The 18th. And the winners are......

Lindy, Tim, Brad and David.
Congratulations!

Mickie makes the award to the winners. Each winning player received
a sleeve of golf balls. (Hey Mickie, Jeff and I think next time maybe the
losers should get the balls. How many did we loose Jeff... 30 or so???)

The ladies prepared baked beans, potatoe salad, chicken, biscuits, chili beans,
cheese sandwiches, coconut cream pie, chocolate cake, cookies and donuts.

Another fun day!
