The first mountain trip of the year was March 1, 2008.   The event leaders where Dave and Gretchen Newell.  The day started with breakfast in Kernersville. Then started the trip up to Lovers Leap and on to Meadows of Dan for Lunch and a tour of the candy factory there. From Meadows we stopped at Carters Mill and then drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to Bell Spur and then back to Kernersville.
