Barbara and John Huffman’s 1959 red and white convertible

John bought his first Corvette when he was in high school. It was a red and white 56 convertible. He later met Barbara in college at Appalachian and they have fond memories dating in it. Now, after 43 years, they decided they wanted another one. They first started looking for a 56, but when they found this 59 in Hickory last November, they knew it was the one for them. They haven't had to do too much to it. They put on new radials and had the steering repaired and now they are ready to cruise with the club.

Nancy and I have been driving Corvettes since 1990. We traded up every five years until 2005 when we traded in our 2000 to purchase Park's Chevrolet 1966 Stingray which we did not drive all that often. We realized not driving a Vet every day was a real downer. So in late 2006 we bought Nancy her 2007 for a every day driver. Now the Universe is back in balance.....
